Robert James Dean, 72, passed into new life on July 23,2023, in Lisle, Illinois. Bob was born in Chicago, Il on July 17, 1951 to Mildred (nee Plantz) and Robert W. Dean.
The family relocated to Oak Lawn, Il, where Robert attended St. Gerald’s and Oak Lawn Community High Schools. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1974 with a Bachelors Degree in Speech and Communication.
Robert had a prodigious memory for family history, as well as details and stats of years of games following his beloved Cubs, Bears, and Chicago Fire, as well as his nephew-in-law’s Glenbrook North’s football and basketball games, and his great nieces and nephew’s various games throughout their sports careers from youth through college years.
Robert is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sisters Carole (Dave) Perkins of Az and Donna (Jon) Deeks of Ireland; his nieces Jill (Bob) Pieper (IL) and W. Nicole (Jeff) Rybak (Az); and his beloved great nieces and nephew: Nicole, Brooke, and Jake Pieper.
Robert will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Il.
