Dear St. Genesius, Illustrious patron of actors, I place myself under your protection. Bless me in the studies of the drama. Noble St. Genesius, loving patron of the theater and its people, teach me how to act well my parts. Bearing God so within myself that through the perfection of my performances, He may reach beyond the footlights to touch the sensitive, restless hearts of His creatures. Great St. Genesius, help me in my drama of life. Guide me and inspire me that through the beauty of the drama and through the power of acting I may elevate the thoughts and feelings of those who love or watch it. Valiant St. Genesius, coach my every drama, so that, I may fulfill the obligation of leading my friends and spectators to the love and beauty of the Divine Creator of all drama. Holy Martyr, St. Genesius, guide me, protect me, and help me on the stage of life. Present me to my Creator when at last my drama of life is ended. Amen.

I Am Greater Than This Darkness
By: Mark Zelman
I am greater than this darkness,
this sleepless dream, aimless walk,
this black veil and blinding fog.
I am comet, one of multitudes.
I reclaim my sun, restore light to my heart.
I am greater than this darkness.
I am bell, I am meadowlark.
Hear my notes and know what prayer is.
Do not fear this black veil and looming fog.
Scouring tide, purging flood,
I advance, I destroy, and I renew.
I am greater than this darkness.
I decant my fine spirit, I am volatile,
explosive, I am supernova, I rise above
this black veil and blinding fog.
I am only something beautiful,
I am not the only one.
We are greater than this darkness,
this black veil and blinding fog.

May you find comfort knowing what the bible tells us in Acts 24:15 “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous”
