Jarrod R. Jahnke Age 32 Suddenly. Cherished son of Nancy (nee Netherton) and the late Steven R. Jahnke. Loving brother of Steven N. Jahnke. Beloved grandson of Fern and the late Ronald Jahnke and the late Bertha and late Neville Netherton. Dear nephew of the late Neil Netherton. Visitation will be Tuesday 9 am until time of funeral services, 12 Noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way (on Rt. 53) Lisle. Burial will be at Acacia Park Cemetery. Jarrod was a graduate of Lisle High School and DePaul University.

I’m not sure if you remember me, but I competed against Jarrod in High School Track. I never could beat him and always looked up to him even though we were on different teams. He was a great guy and someone I would never forget. I feel awful but only have good memories and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

We can explain most things in our life, there is usually a reason. Jarrod’s death cannot be explained other than the Lord decided to call his child home. That’s where our faith comes in. Our Lord promises us that He will not test us more than we can handle. Trust in Him, rely on His guidance, pray to Him for strength and He will give you His peace. I am so so very sorry to hear about your son, Jarrod. You have been a dear friend through Trinity for so many years and I want you to know that I am praying for you during this time.
I was one of the terribly upset people who saw what happened when he passed away. I was working and looked out the window, and then ran to him and all of us tried very hard to quickly get help for him. It is something one never forgets, and now that I know who he was and that he was a wonderful young man and no longer an unknown person I know who I am praying for. He will always be in my prayers.
