Julie Marie Byrne, a loving daughter, sister and aunt, passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 74, in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Born on April 7, 1949, in Chicago, Julie dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving the community as a civilian investigator with the Chicago Police Department.
Julie was well-known for her lifelong passion for horses and her unwavering commitment to her work. She worked tirelessly for the Chicago Police Department, leaving a lasting impact on the department and the city as a whole. Her dedication and expertise made her an invaluable asset to the force.
In addition to her successful career, Julie cherished her family and leaves behind a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her sisters and brothers: Theresa Marie Byrne Spohn (Dr. Earle Spohn), Nancy Marie Byrne, Jeanne Marie Byrne (Joseph Leich), Loretta Marie Byrne Orr, Paul V. Byrne lll (Bille Jo Lamey-Byrne), Mary Frances Byrne Connolly (Michael Connolly), Peter Joseph Byrne (Diane Anthony Byrne), and Ann Marie Byrne Garvey (Robert Garvey). She was preceded by the death of her mother, Jean Cudney Byrne and father, Paul V. Byrne Jr
