Fred W. Eiselstein, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 11, 2025 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on December 10, 1969, Fred was 55 years old.
Fred's greatest love in life was his family, and he shared 37 wonderful years with his forever and ever girl, Kimberly. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised eight children: Ashley Wagner, Bekah (Shawn) O'Farrell, Adrianne (John) Nolan, Nathan Eiselstein, David Eiselstein, Elizabeth Eiselstein, Jillian Eiselstein, and Olivia Eiselstein. Fred also held a special place in his heart for Timothy Emmert, whom he loved as his own.
Known affectionately as "Grumpy Dadieo”, Fred was the proud grandfather to five grandsons: Logan Wagner, Caden, Eli, and Hudson O'Farrell, and Jack Nolan. His grandsons adored him, and he cherished every fishing trip, backyard adventure, and rough housing on the living room floor.
Fred dedicated 20 years of his life to serving and protecting his community as a police officer for the City of Woodstock, IL. His commitment to his duty was unwavering, and he formed lifelong bonds with his fellow officers. He cherished the camaraderie in each and every officer he served with.
Outside of his career, Fred lived his life to the fullest. He found joy in playing his guitar, writing music, and being a rock star in his own mind. He had a deep love for gardening and beekeeping, sinking his toes in the sand at the beaches in his home state of New Jersey. He also loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren which he affectionately referred to as “chaos in motion”.
Fred lived by these mottos: "no retreat, no surrender" and "figure out what you love to do and do it." These words guided his life and inspired those around him to pursue their passions with courage and determination.
Fred's battle with cancer was a testament to his strength, resilience, and unwavering love for his family. Even in his hardest moments, his love, and devotion never faltered. He stubbornly fought with no surrender until God called him home.
Fred will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love, wisdom, and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and many other extended family members.
