David James Alvarez, age 50, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, March 18, 2022 in Chicago.
David is survived by his mother Hilde Santos and stepfather Ray Santos, his brother Jose Luis (Olga) Vega and sister Marisol (Larry) Vega Jones. David’s wife Rita Muñoz; his children, Vincent Alvarez, Dillion Alvarez and Christy Marquez, and his six grandchildren: Jonathan, Jeremiah, Jordan, Matthew, Dillion Jr and Liliana Rose. Brother -in-law Joe (Miriam Hernandez) Muñoz. David leaves many aunts and uncles, cousins as well as many friends who will greatly miss him.
David was known to many as White Knight, he was born and raised in the Pilsen community. David was a Chicago Cubs fan and got to witness the Chicago Cubs win their first World Series in 2016. David received his sacraments and grammar school at Providence of God Church.
Visitation: Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Providence of God Church, 1800 S. Union Ave., Chicago. Public Visitation: 3:00 p.m. till the start of his Celebration of Life Service/Mass at 6:00 p.m.
