Gilberto is survived by his Honey, Carmen, wife of 39 years, children Benny & Angel Marquez, father Benigno Marquez, his siblings, Ernesto L. (Maria) Marquez, Maria L. Marquez and Marian Marquez Martinez. A number of nieces, nephews, family members and wonderful friends that we consider our family. Preceded in death by his mother, Marion V. Martin, sister Ana B. Marquez and brother, Gene J. Pendelton and his in laws, Rodolfo and Maria Monarrez.
Please join us in the Celebration of the Life of Gilberto “Polar Bear” Marquez. We will be gathering to share favorite memories, to laugh, to cry, to pray and to remember a man who will be truly missed on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 3pm to 8pm at Crossroads Community Church, 5433 S. Austin Ave., Chicago. On Wednesday, May 18, 2022 we will gather at Crossroads Community Church from 9am until 10am with a procession to St. Mary Cemetery for Military Honors and burial.
